Do you want to explore and understand Iceland’s unique natural environment?

The programme explores how living organisms interact with their environment, and how environmental conditions influence ecosystems over time. Students examine both the biotic and abiotic components of nature and learn how these elements interact within complex natural systems.

A key theme throughout the programme is the sustainable use of natural resources. Students develop an understanding of how human activity affects the environment and how natural resources can be managed responsibly to ensure they are preserved for future generations.

The programme is offered both as on-campus study and distance learning, providing flexible opportunities for students across Iceland and beyond.
