Interdisciplinary perspectives on palsa mire monitoring – Seminar

Welcome to Interdisciplinary perspectives on palsa mire monitoring  - seminar, which will be held at Keldnaholt, Reykjavík and online on June 10, 2025, 9–12.

The seminar brings together researchers from the Fennoscandian Palsa Research Network (FENNPALS) and the Multi-instrumental investigation of Icelandic palsa mires (ICEMIRES) project led by Dr. Mariana Verdonen from the AUI.

The aim of the seminar is to present and discuss monitoring approaches for permafrost peatland systems in Fennoscandia and Iceland. The program includes presentations on a range of topics, including remote sensing, soil science, greenhouse gas (GHG) measurements, hydrology, biodiversity, and periglacial geomorphology.

Teams link to the seminar.
